Günseli Özen

Having completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication, Günseli Özen received her graduate education from the Faculty of Business Administration, also at Istanbul University. She founded Rota Publications 31 years ago, in 1990, when she realized that the publications that focus on business and the economy in Turkey are not enough. She took over Turkey's first marketing and marketing communications magazine Marketing Turkey in 2002 and became its publisher.

Özen, who has served on the jury of the Golden Drum and European Premium Creativity (EPICA) Awards, one of the most important creativity festivals in Europe for 20 years, organizes events that are one of the important building blocks of publishing under the umbrella of Marketing Turkey. The Interactive Marketing Summit (IPZ) series, which started in Anatolia 18 years ago and whose agenda is determined according to the needs of each city is among the prominent ones.

Özen's books include “İş Dünyasında Mükemmelliği Arayanlara” “Sabunun Tarihi”, in which Hacı Şakir and Turkey's soap and detergent history are written., “Çivit Maviden Kar Beyaza” and “Başarı Tesadüf Değildir” series consisting of three books. She has a total of six books.

Günseli Özen, who continues to write in Marketing Turkey's online and offline channels, has been the Vice President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Women Entrepreneurs Council since 2020. Taking an active role in supporting women entrepreneurs with the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Innovation Consultancy, which she undertook in 2017, Özen continues to work on the implementation of inclusive business models and the investments of companies that carry out their activities both nationally and internationally in this region. Additionally, Özen is on the advisory board of PERYÖN and the Private Sector Volunteers Association.
