Prof. Dr. Halit Yerebakan

During his medical education, he worked as an intern at the world’s leading centers in cardiovascular surgery such as İstanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital, Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital, and OLV Ziekenhuis Hospital in Belgium, and besides his scientific publications, he started to work on health communication. Furthermore, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the heart transplant research and coordination team at Columbia University. As a result of his intensive scientific studies between 2011 and 2014, Yerebakan received the American Heart Association research award, the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons student program award, and 4 separate awards within the scope of the Columbia University Institute supported research projects fund. Yerebakan, who attaches great importance and cares about health communication in Turkey, reaches a wide audience with the newspaper articles and television programs he has prepared; It allows people to access accurate and reliable information that will motivate them to live healthy and quality life.
