Ziyneti Kocabıyık graduated from Marmara University School of Press and Broadcasting. She started her journalism career as a reporter at Tercüman Newspaper. She worked as a medical reporter between 1993 and 2013. During these times she worked as the Editorial Manager of the Literature Medical Journal, PRN Journal of Family Medicine, Journal of Endocrinology Direction, Diabetes Science Journal and New Symposium Journals, and as the Editor-in-Chief and editor of the Literature Current Journal. In 2013, Ziyneti Kocabıyık started working as a health editor at Türkiye Newspaper. She is still currently working at the same newspaper.

Ziyneti Kocabıyık has participated in many national and international medical congresses with the purpose of creating news content. She took part in many congresses on media and health panels as a speaker. News material created by Ziyneti Kocabıyık has been rewarded many awards by foundations and associations in Turkey and abroad. As a member of the Turkey Journalist Association, Kocabıyık served as the chairman of ESAM (Education and Health Correspondents Association) between 2009 and 2015, which is the most established professional organization in the field of health. She still serves as a member of the board of directors at the same association.
